Practical Intel

Know Before You Go

01
Soneva flight check-in is at private terminals

If flying private Cessna charters to Soneva Kiri, check-in operates from a dedicated private counter at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). Always arrive at the private terminal desk at least 60 minutes prior.

02
Rent high-clearance motorbikes with caution

The islands are mountainous and roads are winding and unsealed in sections. While motorbikes are the main way to travel, select high-clearance models and wear helmets at all times; gravel slopes can be slippery.

03
Verify ferry operations during monsoon

Catamaran ferry links to the mainland are prone to cancellation or delays during high monsoonal swells (July to September). Always coordinate schedules with your resort concierge.
