The dry season is fully locked in and the Osa's mornings are as clear and open as they get all year. Northern hemisphere humpbacks — California and British Columbia stock migrating south to breed — are entering the Golfo Dulce, and January and February represent their peak presence. The 1,000-acre private reserve is also one of the only places on earth where all four Costa Rican monkey species can be encountered in a single guided morning: howler, white-faced capuchin, spider, and the endangered Central American squirrel monkey.
