San José (SJO) is a 3-hour drive; Liberia (LIR) is 2.5 hours. The resort is located right off Route 142, making it very accessible. Renting a car or booking a private driver is recommended to explore the surrounding national parks.

The on-site restaurant has high-quality food, but the dinner menu is somewhat limited; you may want to head into town for more variety. Also note that the main swim-up bar pool is kept very warm, which can feel hot during sunny tropical afternoons.
