From Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN), drive south on US-191 through Gallatin Canyon to Big Sky, then wind up Lone Mountain Trail through the Moonlight Basin gate. Roads are paved, though winter driving requires 4WD due to heavy snow and icy mountain grades.
