The thermal pools fill quickly on weekends. Use the subterranean spa between noon and two when other guests are hiking, and book pavilion dinners when you make your room reservation.
Cabins are scattered across a steep, rocky hill. You must walk outside along unlit gravel paths to reach the dining pavilion and spa, which is difficult in rain or winter ice.
